Celebrate Earth Day Every Day

Earth Day is April 22, but we can make every day Earth Day by reflecting on the importance of sustainable practices and environmental conservation. Ponder this. According to a UN report, over four billion tons of plastic have been produced in the past decade. The study reveals that plastic can take up to 500 years to decompose. How can business make a positive difference? Consider your everyday operations.

As part of our sustainability initiative, S-One Holdings Corporation is a member of the United Nations Global Compact initiative — a voluntary leadership platform for the development, implementation, and disclosure of responsible business practices. The UN Global Compact is a call for businesses to align their operations and strategies with ten global principles in the areas of human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption, and to support UN issues represented in the Sustainable Development Goals. The UN Global Compact is the largest corporate sustainability initiative in the world.

“We recognize our responsibility to help protect our planet and to educate our customers on our innovations that lower their environmental impact,” said Co-Founder Art Lambert, S-One Holdings Corporation. “Sustainability is one example of how we do business ethically.”

On Earth Day, S-One team members in Sarasota, Florida, the company’s headquarters, are engaging in a roadside clean-up project on Siesta Drive. As part of its eco-conscious commitment to the community, S-One has adopted a portion of this street which is a high-traffic area.
