S-One’s success over the past 30 years is not just the result of innovative products and groundbreaking technologies—it’s also the result of the dedicated team members who have been with the company through its evolution. These individuals have witnessed first-hand how S-One’s culture has developed and thrived. Each has contributed to the company’s growth in their own way, from early operations to present-day advancements.

 

Here are some of the voices that have shaped S-One’s journey: Ron Simkins, Dean Lambert, Angie Gruss, Theresa Mateo, Brandon Mankovich, Jason Metnick, Kim Yochum, Gina Mascio, and Sean McGettigan. 

Each of these leaders has a story to tell, reflecting how they’ve contributed to S-One’s culture, growth, and adaptability over the years.

Ron Simkins
Co-Founder and CEO 
Founding Vision (30 years)

Ron Simkins is widely regarded for his vision and entrepreneurial spirit, which helped establish S-One as an innovative leader in the printing industry. He was pivotal in shaping the company’s early direction and fostering a culture of creativity, customer focus, and adaptability. 

Under his leadership, the company embraces forward-thinking strategies, including its focus on pioneering products and technologies that align with the market’s evolving needs. “It’s not just about keeping up with the industry—it’s about staying ahead with the right solutions at the right time.”

 

Dean Lambert
Executive Vice President of Development 
A Visionary Journey (30 years)

As one of the original five members of the team, Dean Lambert played a crucial role in the company’s early developments. Reflecting on those first days, “I graduated on a Saturday from the University of Kentucky and started working in Sarasota by Sunday. We had no idea how far we would go.”

Dean recalls those early moments with a sense of pride. “We weren’t just a team—we were a family, solving problems together.” His career journey has been defined by his commitment to customer relationships and continuous improvement, a passion he instills in everyone he works with. 

 

Angie Gruss
Executive Vice President of Culture 
Learning and Development (30 years)

Angie Gruss shapes the company’s culture. Angie started in sales but soon found herself wearing multiple hats, overseeing HR functions such as payroll and recruitment and later playing a crucial role in team member engagement. “We continue to reimagine our team. Our E3 team stands for Employee Engagement and Experience. This year, our mission included three more E’s: Evolving, Engaging, and Elevating. Our company’s investment in our learning and development platform and a dedicated team member to lead this initiative is a huge evolution.”

Theresa Mateo
Tax Director
Financial Stewardship (30 years)

Theresa Mateo has seen the company grow from its early roots into a global leader. Theresa’s careful management of the company’s finances ensured that S-One weathered even the toughest economic storms. “My role has always been about maintaining stability. In a business that changes so rapidly, you need a steady hand.”

Theresa was key in keeping S-One’s financial operations strong during difficult times like the 2008 recession. “We managed to stay disciplined, and that allowed us to invest wisely when it mattered most.” Her approach ensured that S-One could invest in new technologies and continue growing while staying financially sound.

Brandon Mankovich
Vice President of Analytics, Planning, & Purchasing 
Data-Driven Decision-Making (26 years)

Brandon Mankovich helps S-One remain competitive through the power of data-driven insights. Overseeing inventory management and customer analytics, Brandon has shaped the company’s ability to stay responsive to the needs of our customers and vendors.

“Our focus has always been on using data to make better decisions.” His work has helped optimize operations across the board, from forecasting demand to managing supply chains. “The ability to pivot quickly has been critical for us, and using data has been at our core.”

Brandon’s approach to decision-making has allowed S-One to remain nimble and responsive to the challenges of a changing market.

Jason Metnick
Chief Operating Officer 
Operational Excellence (26 years)

Jason Metnick is responsible for streamlining operations and ensuring logistics run smoothly. His focus has always been on ensuring the company’s processes are efficient and effective. “Our operations are about more than just delivering products—we are delivering solutions that help our clients succeed.”

His work in building operational infrastructure has allowed S-One to manage its growth and maintain its reputation for reliability. “Everything we do in operations is designed to enhance the customer experience. From logistics to supply chain, it’s all about making sure our customers have what they need when they need it.”

Kim Yochum
Vice President of People Operations 
People-Centric Leadership (26 years)

Kim Yochum is instrumental in leading S-One’s efforts to cultivate a strong, supportive work environment. Kim has always been focused on helping team members grow both professionally and personally. “S-One has always valued its people, and my job is to make sure we continue to live that value every day.

Kim’s focus on employee engagement, learning, and development has helped S-One maintain its reputation as an employer that invests in its people. “We’ve always believed that happy, engaged employees lead to happy customers.” Her work has ensured that S-One’s culture remains one where team members feel valued and supported.

Gina Mascio
Chief Financial Officer 
Financial Growth (19 years)

Gina Mascio oversees the company’s financial growth strategy. Gina’s role has been crucial in ensuring that S-One could expand globally while remaining financially secure. “The key has always been to balance growth with financial discipline.”

Gina’s work has supported major expansions, including S-One’s ventures into European markets and the launch of S-One Labels & Packaging. “It’s about ensuring we have the resources to innovate and grow, while still maintaining our financial integrity.”

Sean McGettigan
Director of Product Management
Product Leadership (19 years)

Sean McGettigan plays a role in overseeing the development and rollout of key products across the company’s portfolio. Sean’s expertise has helped S-One launch new products that keep the company at the forefront of the industry.

“Our brands are the lifeblood of our success. We focus on creating solutions that meet our customers’ needs.” His leadership has ensured that S-One’s product offerings deliver quality and excellence.
